• • Dilution: Cloudy Ammonia is concentrated, and for optimal cleaning performance, RapidG recommends a dilution ratio of 1 part of Cloudy Ammonia to 3 parts of water and testing on an inconspicuous area before use. Chemical-Resistant Gloves: Nitrile rubber or butyl rubber gloves are common choices for this application. 

Safety Goggles: Chemical splash goggles with indirect venting are essential to shield your eyes from accidental splashes.

Respirator Masks: When handling Cloudy Ammonia use a well-ventillated area. In situations where there is a risk of inhaling ammonia fumes, a respirator equipped with appropriate valves is crucial. The specific type of respirator needed will depend on the concentration of ammonia and the expected duration of exposure. 

Avoid mixing ammonia with bleach, chlorine, or any other cleaning product.

These products have distinct cleaning purposes and should never be combined or used as substitutes.

Such combinations can generate hazardous fumes that pose a serious health risk.

The concentration of ammonia in commercial cloudy ammonia products can vary depending on the brand.

Small Spills:

• Containment: Soak up the spill with absorbent materials like rags or paper towels. RapidG recommends using our popular Vildea PVMA Cloths.

• Disposal: Place the used absorbent material in a sealed container with a label indicating "ammonia waste" or "contaminated waste". Dispose of it according to your local hazardous waste regulations.

Large Spills:

• Containment: Stop the ammonia from spreading towards drains or waterways using a Spill Kit. Your spill kit will contain various absorbent materials suitable for containing and cleaning up the spill. These typically include floor sweeps, absorbent pads, pillows, contaminated waste bags and more designed for industrial use and to not react with any absorbed liquids. 

• Collection: Carefully collect the absorbent material and contaminated ammonia into labelled containers for proper disposal through a hazardous waste collection service.

RapidG Notes: Never dispose of concentrated cloudy ammonia down the drain; always dilute it with water and run the tap while pouring the solution down the drain.

While both are powerful cleaners, they are not the same.

Bleach is a disinfectant, while Cloudy Ammonia primarily tackles grease and grime, and should not be substituted for or combined with Bleach.
