Sugar soap is a heavy-duty cleaner designed to cut through tough grime, grease, and dirt.
It's effective on many washable surfaces including greasy kitchen surfaces, grimy floors, and even smoke-stained walls. Our sugar soap is available as a clear blue liquid with a citrus fragrance.
Here's a closer look:
Cuts Through Grease: Kitchens are battlegrounds for splatters and grease. Sugar soap effortlessly dissolves greasy buildup, leaving surfaces sparkling clean.
Removes Grime and Dirt: From grimy floors to grimy fingerprints, sugar soap tackles built-up dirt and grime, leaving surfaces hygienically clean.
Prepares Surfaces for Painting: By removing dirt, grease, and loose paint, sugar soap creates the perfect canvas for a smooth, even and fresh paint finish.
Removes Smoke Stains: Stubborn smoke stains can be a real eyesore. Sugar soap effectively cuts through them, leaving walls and surfaces fresh and bright. Ensure to where protective glasses and rubber gloves.

“Sugar Soap" doesn't actually contain sugar!
In its dry form, the cleaning agent often has a granular texture that resembles table sugar, hence the name.

For General Cleaning dilute 500ml of sugar soap in 5 litres of warm water.
For Heavy Duty Cleaning apply undiluted sugar soap directly to the surface.
Preparation: Thoroughly remove any loose dirt or debris from the surface before cleaning.
Mixing: Adhere to the specific dilution ratio indicated on the sugar soap product label.
Application: Apply the prepared sugar soap solution evenly to the surface using a spray bottle, mop, or sponge.
Scrubbing: For stubborn stains, gently scrub the affected area with a brush.
Rinsing: Completely rinse the surface with clean water to remove all sugar soap residue.
Drying: Allow the surface to dry completely before applying any subsequent treatments or coatings. Please note it is not recommended to leave Sugar Soap overnight.

For maximum effectiveness pair sugar soap with a Magic Eraser Sponge and hack your home. This sponge is designed to remove marks from most washable surfaces, excellent for removing paint, ink, pen, scuff marks and general stains off walls and areas where you are able to use a sponge.
This sponge is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on various surfaces including aluminium, plastic, glass, ceramics and laminex.
Additionally, this sponge is highly economical with its flexibility to be cut into smaller pieces for ease of use.

While sugar soap is effective for removing odours and surface mould stains, it doesn't eliminate the mould itself or its spores.
For complete mould removal, we recommend using our popular specialised mould removal products; Mould No More (750ml, 5L and 15L) and Mould n Moss Concentrate Algae Remover (750ml & 5L).

The exact ingredients in sugar soap can vary depending on the brand.
However, the main composition for our brand is Surfactant and Alkaline Salts. Surfactants act to lift and disperse dirt and grime, while alkaline salts help to break down grease and other stubborn residues.

While sugar soap is a powerhouse, it's not suitable for all surfaces. Avoid using it on:
Unsealed or Unfinished Wood: May cause swelling or staining.
Delicate or Painted Surfaces: Can strip paint or damage finishes, especially on older or sensitive surfaces.
Aluminum and Other Soft Metals: Risk of tarnishing or discolouration due to the alkaline nature of sugar soap.
Natural Stone: May etch or dull surfaces such as marble, granite, or limestone.
Highly Polished Surfaces: Can leave streaks or diminish the shine on glass or high-gloss tiles.
RapidG Notes: Always do a spot test sugar soap on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.

Absolutely.
After using sugar soap, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue or left over product.

It is generally not advisable to leave sugar soap on a surface overnight.
Designed to be quick-acting, prolonged contact may potentially damage the surface or create difficult-to-remove residue. For optimal results, RapidG suggests to rinse the sugar soap off after 5-10 minutes.
To address stubborn stains, repeated applications are recommended rather than leaving it on for an extended period.

Sugar soap's effectiveness lies in its cleaning power.
It's typically a mild alkaline solution, which means it breaks down grease and grime more effectively than water-based cleaners.
This makes it ideal for tackling tough cleaning challenges. Our brand of sugar soap additionally leaves behind a fresh citrus fragrance.
Absolutely!
